Very good priced Sunday lunch menu...and the salad bar always exceptional 👍

I gave it a 3 star for this reason.I ordered grilled Italian chicken, what I got was boiled chicken with Italian dressing drizzled on it, the place is old and run down, needs to change the way they cook or get a chef who knows how to cook. I'm not a chef, but when you order something grilled and it comes out boiled something is wrong. The only part about the place was the salad bar, even that had issues.

Food and service not good. Building has gotten extremely run down and needs to be cleaned! We have always like this place in the past. So disappointing.

Well..... it was ok. I have had worse but i have had better. Im from the back woods of Ga originally, but I have been around the block a time or two as well. The steak was fair the sanitation grade was an 82. We gave it a shot. Its dark and dinghy looking on the inside. The wait staff was nice but the bus boys were like two bumbling fools dancing around talking loud and dropping the dish trays. This place has a lot of potential for a mom and pop kind of place. They just need to dail it in a little better. Over all it was fair, like I said not great, but not terrible either.

We went as a celebratory dinner for our 3rd year wedding anniversary as a suggestion from a friend. It was well worth it! Food was great and staff was very nice.

Service was horrible. The salad bar was not stocked. The pintos were dry, the cornbread was dry. The porkchops were cold and dry, the scallops were cold, the chicken tenders were cold, sweet potatoes were cold and had no flavor. It took an hour to receive the cold food, while we watched many tables seated after us eating and leaving. This was a 1st time visit to show us how great this place was supposedly and it was also the last visit.

I had the Ribeye. It had more grissle than meat. The best part of the meal was the salad bar and pintos. I do not think I will go back.

One of my favorite places in Rome to go, wonderful food, good prices and awesome people! If you've never tried it you should give them a try. You will not be disappointed!

I got my steaks and it was NOT fit to eat. Happy birthday to me right? Not! It was returned but I was instead charged for salad bar that I did NOT eat. I would've if I knew my fatty steak wasn't fit to eat.

A wonderful little place on the side of the road. A local friend took me there and now every time I'm in Rome I insist on returning. The food is great and great value for the money. Last time I had the fried catfish and it was the best I've ever had, anywhere. A good salad and soup bar and the staff is super friendly and professional. Don't be surprised if one of the owners is your server or food runner. One of them is in the kitchen cooking up food. That's what hard working people who really care about their business do. Is there a wait? Sure. Is it worth it? Couldn't be any more so. This place is a little gem out in the country. I will return every time I visit.

Food was good... service horrible, needs a good cleaning. Seems very disorganized. The hostess was very unprofessional. The server did well. Overall I don’t care to return. The place definitely needs to consider remodeling.

Tonight was our third time. Cold speggetti last time & this time. Two chopped steaks raw inside & cold. Three strikes & they're out!!! NOT RECOMMENDED BY US!!!!!!!!!!!!!ALL I can say good is the server was nice & she made deduction on bill.🤪

Good, home style food. Prices are reasonable. Not tons of seating, can be a wait. Parking can be tight.

The food was absolutely delicious! I love the fact that the salad bar and pinto beans automatically come with each meal. I was very pleased when Josh, the cook appeared to check on us. I definitely recommend it! And will be back!

The best home cooking in Floyd County. I love the Homestead. We've been here several times over the years and I believe the beans and cornbread only get better. I've never gotten a bad dish here. The sweet tea is just right. Service is good, it was busy and my waitress was still on top of things.

Good place for a relaxing meal. Try the Sirloin Strip and be sure to hit the bean bar!

If you are expecting fancy, you will be disappointed. This is a old fashioned, hometown steak House. The kind most town had long before the chains took over. If you are looking for a good meal at decent prices you will enjoy yourself! They have a great selection of steak, seafood and chicken, a good salad bar and the Pinto's and cornbread are excellent!!Our steak and stuffed flounder were cook quickly and as ordered. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. The size of the restroom is the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5. It is to small for a walker or wheelchair, do we can't take the whole family here.Other than that we loved rediscovering the homestead!

Love this place! Salad bar is great. Pintos and cornbread are great. Wasn't wild about my steak, but everything else was really good. Also like the old building and the fact that they were playing 80s music. This place really has character.

Nice, family atmosphere but definitely not what we expected. With a little effort, this place could be a gem. The salad bar needs a little extra effort and some good sharp knives to cut your steak would be great. The pintos and cornbread are a unique touch I have never seen anywhere else. Cleanliness and professionalism could go a long way. With little effort this business could go from a diamond in the rough to a gold mine. Friendly advice from one business owner to another.
